How To Set Page Size In Excel
- #2
Hi bulla,
Start, go to File > Folio Setup. On the Folio tab select the Fit To scaling choice and select 1 pages broad by ane pages tall. Then select A4 in the Paper Size dropdown.
This will prepare these properties for the workbook until you lot change them.

Thanks Damon - thank you a LOT.
But one matter I really want to practise is really LIMIT the size of the worksheet - so when you await at it it's simply the size of an A4 folio.
ie. there are NO columns beneath or to the right of the worksheet........
Know what I mean?
i've only seen this washed once ....
Practice you know how I can do this?
Thank you.....

Howdy,
You can hide rows and columns by either selecting the whole row or column and then correct clicking and selecting hibernate or by using the Format menu which means you don't demand to to select the whole row/cavalcade you wish to hide only just a cell within.
You could then protect the worksheet to prevent people unhiding them.

thanks but i might have described it incorrectly......
An excel worksheet is infinite in it'due south width and acme. Information technology can go on forever.
Now imagine an A4 slice of newspaper.
I want my worksheet to simply exist a finite size. I only desire it to be the size of a sheet of newspaper. I don't desire it to go on infinitely.
Is this possible?

Hide the columns and rows as I described and and so in File...Page Setup select it to fit on 1 page wide past 1 page tall.
Should practice the trick.

Cheers once again ..... well, some skillful news and some bad news!!!
Adept - I've been able to totally hide the columns ACROSS the folio considering it didn't take as well long to highlight all the columns etc.
And this is EXACTLY what I wanted to do.
But the ROWS .... I can't do information technology......... using the "page downwards" keyboard button I got down to row 30,000 and in that location was no sign that I was going near the bottom of the spreadsheet.
Plainly I'grand missing something here........
Can you help so I tin can "delete" the rows nether row l .......
thank you Domski - much appreciated

Click on the first row that yous desire to hide (if you click the row number it will select the whole row. Now press Ctrl+Shift and the down pointer primal.
Once selected you should be able to hide them easily.
